Choir class broadens children's appreciation for music.  This class introduces children to classical music and modern hits, and covers vocal training, diction, articulation and the foundations of reading sheet music.  The class gives children the opportunity to discover their interest and talent for singing in a supportive and fun atmosphere.  The choir class fosters a sense of musical exploration allowing children to experience a variety of musical genres.

The early development of poise and experience of performing helps children become confident in many aspects of school and life.  Choir allows children to express themselves in a unique way through melody and rhythm, as well as promoting creativity, imagination, and a life long love of performing arts.  Children will have numerous opportunities to perform in front of an audience.

Music Director Maria Krutyanskaya is Starbright’s staff music teacher. Maria has been responsible for all our wonderful musical productions, including “Pinocchio” and “The Wizard of Oz” musicals and our spectacular Spring Recitals! She holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the Moscow Pedagogical University and has over 10 years of teaching experience.
