In this class children are exposed to various styles of dance.  Children get the opportunity to try beginning ballet, rhythm and jazz, ballroom dance and creative movement.  The class develops motor skills, coordination, and creativity;  helps increase flexibility and overall fitness.

Dance allows a child to express their uniqueness through movement as well as explore and develop emerging talents.  Additionally, dance expands the imagination and builds self-confidence.  Children discover the joy of dance in a playful and supportive atmosphere.

Starbright's dance instructor Tatiana Kanaeva is an experienced dancer, choreographer, and modern dance teacher.  She has been dancing for over thirteen years.  She took part in numerous competitions all over Europe with her dance ensemble winning the Grand Prize in 1998.  In 2000, Tatiana was personally recognized as the top soloist of a Dance Festival.  For six years Tatiana studied at the “Sirena” modern choreography school and graduated in 2001 with a certification as a choreographer and dance instructor.  Tatiana has studied with master dancers in the United States and Europe, including Edward Truit, Maida Withers, Ivona Olshovskaya and Megan Flood.
